Our Board is drawn from the local education, business, medical and personal interest communities of the East Texas counties of Trinity, Walker, and Harris. Each Board Member brings his or her unique characteristics and vast experience s, giving invaluable leadership and knowledge to the development of Inspiration Village.
Brenda Young; President
Brenda has been in Trinity for over 28 years and is currently employed as a Teacher Specialist for Houston ISD's Outdoor Education Program at Camp Olympia here in Trinity County. Brenda has her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Education and a Masters in Natural Resource Conservation. Brenda has been involved in several organizations in Trinity, including Trinity ISD PTA, the Trinity Fair Association and the Blanch K. Werner Friends of the Library.
Mike Fulsom; Consulting Board Member
Mike has been in Trinity For over 26 years and has worked with the Trinity County Fair Association for 25 years helping to serve Trinity's youth in their agriculture pursuits. He is co-founder of the Trinity Boys' and Girls' Club and has also been a member of the Trinity Volunteer Fire Department for over 13 years. Mike is retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Agriculture Department.
David Price; Secretary/Treasurer and Co-Founder of Inspiration Village.
David has been in Trinity for over 15 years and is currently working at Trinity Family Clinic as a Physicians Assistant. David is retired from the Army after serving our Country for 20 years, including tours of duty in Vietnam and Iraq. David is actively involved in several civic organizations in Trinity, served as past President of the Trinity Lions Club.
Dorothy Franklin; Board Member
Dorothy is a native of Trinity. After graduating from Trinity High School, Dorothy receive her Bachelor of Science in Education from Paul Quinn College in Waco. She also holds a Mentally Retarded Certification from Sam Houston State in Huntsville. Dorothy has her Masters of Education from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches along with a
Mid-Management Administrator Certification. Dorothy is now retired after over 33 years experience in education, now serves as President of TISD's Board of Directors.
Mary Ann Newhouse: Vice President
Mary Ann is retired from Bell and McCoy and has lived in Riverside for over 5 years. Mary Ann grew up in Bremond Texas. She has been married to Harold Newhouse for over 35 years and has two adult children. She has been involved in many organizations over the years, including Special Olympics, which she helped organize in Humble.
